Harvest time.....

Pinot 2018

Phew, the grapes are in, double the usual quantity, earlier and beautifully clean thanks to the warm and sunny summer.  Now transferred to our expert winemakers to start the fermentation process which will take about two and a half years to complete, using the traditional method to create sparkling wine.  Also in progress is a rose which will be ready next summer; the juice is tantalizingly sweet already.   The good weather has created conditions ideal for ripening for everyone.....https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/oct/06/uk-record-red-wine-harvest-pinot-noir
